Founded in 1986 by Huang Jie as Nantong Freezing Equipment Factory, Square Technology Group is headquartered on a 640,000 m² integrated campus in Nantong, Jiangsu.
The Group operates six subsidiaries, one provincial-level engineering research institute, and two product divisions — cold chain equipment and heat exchangers — delivering spiral freezers, tunnel freezers, IQF freezers, plate freezers, spiral ovens, continuous fryers, refrigeration systems, cold room panels, and turnkey food processing lines.
CE, PED, and ASME certified with 300+ patents, Square Technology has helped draft four national standards and serves 5,000+ food processors in 80+ countries, supported by 200 global installation specialists and 350+ in-house engineers.
Company History
Milestones — 1986 to 2026
1986
Founded in 1986, the company developed its first plate freezer.
1987
In 1987, it achieved domestic substitution of imported equipment.
1994
By 1994, the company had completed the development of multiple core products, including spiral freezers, ice makers, and tunnel freezers. Several products passed high-tech product appraisal.
2009
The company supplied complete freezing systems for ocean-going fishing vessels. Its provincial-level Quick-Freezing Equipment Engineering Technology Center was officially established.
2013
The company’s cold storage refrigeration equipment entered overseas markets. A new generation of quick-freezing systems was launched.
2016
The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Main Board. It also began providing end-to-end cold storage solutions.
2018
The group was established, expanding into multiple business areas including cold chain systems, tank containers, heat exchangers, and food processing equipment.
2019
The heat exchanger division was established. The company’s food processing equipment expanded into both domestic and international markets.
2020
A German production line was commissioned. Production of energy-saving insulated panels also began.
2021
The Shanghai subsidiary was established to connect with advanced technology and high-end technical talent.
2023
The company’s metal-faced PIR sandwich panels received FM certification. Its testing center obtained CNAS accreditation.
2025-2026
The company expanded into new projects including specialty tank containers and LNG insulation materials.
